Measuring EMF Exposure Inside a BYD
Electric vehicles are becoming increasingly common, but questions often come up around EMF exposure inside modern cars. In this experiment, I tested EMF levels inside a BYD Seal under real-world conditions to better understand where exposure may come from and how it changes in different situations.
This test is intended for awareness and observation — not to create fear or draw definitive conclusions.

What was tested:
Electromagnetic Field (EMF) levels inside a BYD Seal 2025 during normal, real-world use. Measurements included seated positions and typical vehicle operation.
Vehicle:
BYD Seal 2025
EMF Reader Used:
Extech EMF Meter, capable of measuring:
• Magnetic fields
• Electric fields
• Radio Frequency (RF)
Testing conditions:
Readings were taken inside the vehicle under everyday driving conditions to observe how EMF levels varied across different areas of the cabin. The aim was to capture realistic exposure levels rather than controlled laboratory data.
